The M18 FUEL system includes a bunch of tools, over 200 in fact. From table saws to angle grinders, yard trimmers to music speakers, and jig saws to circular saws (like this 2730), the M18 system outfits your garage, home, and yard. Committing to the M18 system isn’t cheap, nor expensive when you consider the long-term benefits of swapping batteries from tool to tool with the same charging platform.
The 2730 spins the blade at a decent 5000 rmp. Not industry-leading nor -lagging but will take on just about anything with a properly-sized battery. The REDLINK system keeps batteries from overheating and overcharging, both being the most dangerous risks to lithium-ion batteries.
Bevel adjustments extend to 50 degrees, which allows for common 45-degree cuts, are easily adjusted with oversized knobs. Additional knobs are included for an optional rip fence guide.
The included LED light is much appreciated, especially when making rip cuts in darker settings. A well-illuminated cut line helps prevent excessive drift and keeps cuts straight.
MILWAUKEE includes a tool hook right behind the forward handle. We didn’t use this much since we weren’t hanging among rafters but this is especially handy when working in an area without flat surfaces nearby on which you can place the saw between uses.
The shoe is made from magnesium, which cuts down on weight significantly. Even so, we didn’t feel like the 2730 couldn’t handle a few rough bumps and bruises during normal use.
Especially impressive is the five year warranty included with all MILWAUKEE tools. It says a lot about a tool’s quality when the manufacturer stands behind it for a half-decade.

The MILWAUKEE 2730 is a fantastic addition to the M18 FUEL line. If you’ve already started building on this system, this is the saw for you. If you haven’t started on the M18 FUEL journey, give this one a consideration still. It’s a solid, no-frills saw that will tackle anything you throw at it.
