This reciprocating saw is a mere 11″ long, making it handy to maneuver in tight spaces.  3,000 rpms with a 5/8″ stroke makes quick work of small tasks like breaking down boxes or cutting through drywall.

The 12-Volt Max system includes some of BOSCH’s most compact tools so the battery can be shared among drills, drivers, and other power tools in the tool family.  The smaller form factor of the batteries make the 12-Volt Max easy to operate, carry, and store.

The PS60 feels very comfortable in hand.  The rubberized grip fits most hands easily.  When we needed to add a little extra persuasion to a cut, the forward section of the tool allowed for a second hand placement.

We liked that the integrated guard added a degree of separation from our hand and the blade.  This feature also seals the tool’s inner components from dust and debris during cuts.

The LED light is incredibly handy, especially in low-light situations that compact tools like the PS60 excel in.  We usually never have enough light when working inside cabinets, behind doors, and underneath crawl spaces. The forward-facing LED light ensures that dim working conditions are well-lit.

When the trigger depresses, the PS60 activates the onboard battery status light.  This kept us guessing how much juice was left in the tank at any given moment.  For the size of the tool and battery, we were surprised how long the duo kept going.  Battery swaps will be rare because this system provides for impressively long working sessions.

The footplate is stationary and allows for the tools to be slowy rocked into sheet goods.  This is helpful when making a cut in the middle of a panel without having to start on one edge.
